One thing we have been promised - or at least strongly hinted at - are more clones will be introduced, which given that several of them were dead by the end of the first season (RIP Katja, Helena, Beth, Danielle, Aryanna and Janika), seems like an inevitability, less the future seasons be reduced to the lead clones and them alone. The menacing new clone character introduced at the end of season one looks set to be an intriguing character of Tatiana Maslany's creation - Rachel Duncan, a 'proclone' kept by the Neolutionists and raised with full awareness of her clone status. She's in a prominent role in the organisation, pitting her against Sarah while her own personal motives and background remain shady and ripe for exploring. Manson has remained somewhat coy about introducing more clones into the second season, but has all but hinted that more will becoming. Manson has confirmed he has sat down with Maslany to work on developing new personalities and clones, appropriate given that Maslany is noted for the effort that goes into constructing entire worlds for her characters (she even creates playlists to get her into the zone for each clone). We can all but guarantee we'll be seeing some new clones pop up but in what capacity? While the inclusion of Rachel hints at possibly more clones in the Neolutionist camp, it seems more than possible that Sarah, Alison and Cosima may well run into some more unsuspecting clones who learn about their newfound connection...
