Ozark: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best
14. Wyatt Langmore
Wyatt is unfortunately infuriating to watch. The elder son of Russ Langmore and cousin to Ruth, Wyatt is supposed to be the Langmore with prospects as he proves himself to be academic. This is spurred on by Ruth who has a genuine love for him and wants to see him succeed.
Sadly, Wyatt is petulant and combative and after Ruth is left with no choice but to kill Russ, Wyatt slips into an understandable but drawn out depression where he feels like the stereotypical angsty teenager that has no place on a show such as this.
To make matters worse, the writers clearly had other (more interesting) things to focus on in Season Three so they ended up pairing him with Darlene in a bizarre romance that feels forced and unnecessary. Wyatt is essential to Ruth's development and we are aligned strongly with her, so watching Wyatt consistently cause her grief makes for a particularly annoying character.
