Ozark Season 4: 12 Questions That Must Be Answered
4. Was That The Last We Saw Of Frank Jr?
If there was one frustrating character introduced in the third season, it was the insecure, hot-tempered son of Frank Cosgrove. His presence in the season only served to create tension between himself and Ruth, and while it does escalate and eventually pay off in a bloody way there was also something unsatisfying about his concluding story.
From jump, Frank Jr. is a cartoonish man-child with animated views on masculinity; so while he may have been castrated by shotgun- by a woman non-less, it might be fair to say he isn't going to take his deserved punishment and rear his head.
Frank Sr. may have struck a deal with Darlene Snell in exchange for leaving Ruth alone, but it's possible that Frank Jr. won't see it that way and maybe even see it as a demoralizing betrayal. Could we even see a situation where a jealous, spiteful son usurps his father?
Really though, Frank Jr. is one of those fictional characters that is written to be a "problem" until they are dealt with. And like Cade Langmore before him, it will only be a matter of time before he gets the attention of someone a little less understanding and forgiving than Darlene Snell.
