Parks And Recreation: 15 Incredibly Subtle Jokes And Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

4. Jamm's Very Confused About Asian Culture

Jeremy Jamm is a huge buffoon, and one of the many reasons for that is his ignorance of Asian culture. He claims to be obsessed with Chinese things, but he really just likes the aesthetic without understanding anything about it. Hell, in one episode he makes Leslie and Chris an "authentic Japanese breakfast" of...scrambled eggs. He also utters the famous quote, "I love Chinese crap. Lucy Liu, Nintendo, Gangnam Style, sushi, etcetera, etcetera." The joke goes even further than that, though.

In this scene, take a look behind Jamm as he's cooking eggs on his Benihana table: hanging on his wall is "North Korea" written in Japanese. Jamm clearly just bought that at a flea market or garage sale because it looked like something Chinese he should hang in his house, having absolutely no idea what it actually said. He has something in his home that he likely thinks is Chinese, but it's really Japanese and about North Korea, which is so many layers of wrong. Oh Jamm.
