One of the best parts of Season 7 was its depiction of an exaggerated future, as was the case with this hilarious joke about the New England Patriots that you have to pause to see. While the Parks team was writing this set of episodes, the Deflategate controversy was still ongoing, with allegations arising that the New England Patriots had tampered with footballs before games. According to Parks' version of the future, the Patriots being involved in controversies won't be going away anytime soon. 

In a scene where the focus is on Ben announcing he's running for congress, take a look at the headline right below it: "Belichick on 'RobotGate': None of our players are robots." Bill Belichick is of course the head coach of the New England Patriots, and in the same way the team was accused of deflating footballs, apparently it will soon come out that they're secretly using robots to their advantage.
