This is surely one of the most legendary pieces of long-term low-key storytelling in sitcom history.

You might remember that the pilot episode of the show sees Leslie using a broom to remove a drunk man (Jon Daly) from a slide, and this pays off spectacularly in the series finale when Daly returns to play a suited-up man who asks the Parks department to fix a swing.

The obvious implication is that, during the many years between these episodes, the man managed to piece his life back together and become a productive member of society.

That's impressive character development for someone most viewers never even gave a second thought.
