Peaky Blinders: The Worst Thing Each Main Character Has Ever Done
1. Alfie Solomons - The Final Betrayal
Alfie Solomons is easily the most distrustful person in the whole of the Peaky Blinders world, simply because he has demonstrated time and again that he is willing to renege on any deals he has in place to gain the upper hand.
Yet, he is somebody that isn't too different from Tommy himself, which may explain why Tommy always seems to have patience with Alfie's several transgressions.
This is strange for Tommy, given that Alfie flips in season two to support the Italian's against the Blinders, before flipping back again; he sells Tommy and the Shelby family out to Father Hughes in season three, which caused (though unknowingly) Tommy's son, Charlie, to be kidnapped; and finally, he agreed to play a role in the Changretta vendetta, which leads to the attempted murder of both Tommy and Arthur in season four.
It was that last betrayal that signalled the end of Tommy's patience with Alfie as he shot him in Margate. However, once Tommy realises that Alfie survived the shooting, he didn't seek to put him down again and the pair join forces to arrange the death of Oswald Mosely.
Alfie's last betrayal (so far) was hard to take for fans, and for Tommy as they had already been through so much together up to that point. Which is why it is the one that irks the most.
