Peaky Blinders: The Worst Thing Each Main Character Has Ever Done

Though he lasted only two seasons, Inspector Campbell was a mean piece of work to deal with. His own cruelty and the brutality with which he led his police force was not any better than the criminals he sought to destroy.

Campbell's own sense of morality was twisted by his time in Birmingham to the point where he was willing to make deals with anybody to bring down the Shelby family.

This was proved when he arrested Michael Gray for burning down a pub, using the leverage he was afforded by the situation to force Polly to have sex with him.

These are not the actions of a man that is dedicated to upholding the rule of law, and in the end, Campbell was more of a renegade that operated out of pure hatred to rid the world of Tommy Shelby with no regard for the collateral cost.

His rejection by Grace only added fuel to the fire that burned within him, all of which led to him wanting to hurt the Shelby family so badly that he would, in essence, rape Polly.
