Peep Show Series 9: 9 Things We Hope To See

1. Keep The Ending In Line With The Rest Of The Show

In spite of the often bizarre situations our two protagonists find themselves in, Peep Show has always been grounded in reality. This is part of the show's appeal, like The Office there's a certain satisfaction to watching others in horrible and awkward situations. We don't want to see Mark and Jeremy fail, but it is quite funny when things don't work out for them. It's important for the writers to not 'Jump the shark' and do something stupid with the remaining episodes. We want to see more of the same humour, more awkward situations but ultimately the ending needs to keep the humanity of the show in tact. It needs to be believable. The final series needs to be about two friends living their lives and follow the logical consistencies that come from the situations that arise. We need to see Jeremy continue to fulfill his dreams of becoming a professional musician. We need to see Mark strive for the ordinary life where he can watch Question Time with his girlfriend, have intellectual conversations and go to bed at a reasonable hour. We don't have to see them achieve these goals, but it would be nice if they did. We want the ending of Peep Show to be true to everything we have seen before, and whilst they've had their fair share of bad situations thrown at them, it's maybe about time that Mark and Jeremy get the lives they deserve. What are your favourite Peep Show moments and what are you looking forward to seeing when Series 9 hits Channel 4? Let us know in the comments.
