2. Business Secrets Of The Pharaohs Gets published
A running joke throughout the show was the idea of Mark having a book called 'Business Secrets of the Pharaohs'. Meant as nod to his love of history but also of his ambition to do something more than the mundane office work he is forced to do every day. It's an ambition, just a very dull one. In the eighth series Mark can't believe his luck when he meets a publisher who promises to publish Business Secrets of the Pharaohs. Obviously, this being Peep Show things don't exactly go to plan and Mark is swindled out of a fair bit of cash. Such is his passion for his book he sinks too much money into the project and ends up a lot worse off than when he started. Since publishing the book is one of the underlying driving forces behind his character it would be strange to see the subject of the book not cropping up again. If Jeremy can fulfill his dream of becoming a music sensation it seems only fair that Mark will stumble across an actual publisher willing to take a punt on his book. It would be a great way to end on some note of happiness for Mark, even if to us as outsiders it seems like a small thing, his book being on real shelves - or digital ones for that matter - would bring Mark full circle. Wouldn't it be great seeing a scene entirely devoted to Jeremy trying to get through the first paragraph of the book though? Do it writers.
