Power Rangers: 10 Things You Probably Didn't Know

3. The Good, The Bad and The Stupid: The Misadventures of Bulk And Skull

1345201169421 Bulk & Skull were as much a part of Power Rangers as the Rangers themselves. They started out as simple-minded high school bullies obsessed with discovering the identity of the Power Rangers, transitioned into being members of the Angel Grove Junior Police Force, were transformed into chimps and later joined a mad scientist on a space station. But they also almost had a spin-off entitled The Good, The Bad and The Stupid: The Misadventures of Bulk and Skull. In 1996, Saban decided to spin the two supporting characters into their own comedy show where they would run a hotel with a Mexican Elvis impersonator. I'm not kidding. It almost happened. Luckily, test audiences hated it and the project was cancelled. Although I know that they both appeared past Power Rangers In Space, I prefer to think of this as their last appearance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVsmJTBT8bU

2. Poor Rocky :(

mmpr-rg-rocky To celebrate the ten year anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise, a special episode of Power Rangers Wild Force entitled Forever Red was released. The episode commemorated the anniversary by bringing together all of the Red Rangers from the past ten years including Jason (MMPR), Aurico (Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers), Tommy (Zeo), T.J. (Turbo), Andros (Space), Leo (Lost Galaxy), Carter (Lightspeed Rescue), Wesley and Eric (Time Force) and Cole from the ongoing Wild Force series. One name is missing from the list: Rocky. He took over as the Red Ranger after Jason left. Originally, I thought it was weird that he wasn't in the episode. But I figured having two MMPR Red Rangers might be confusing. It turns out that Steve Cardenas, the actor who portrayed Rocky, was contacted to be in the episode. However, he moved and changed addresses without telling anyone. The production company wasn't able to contact him in time for the filming and thus, Rocky is the only Red Ranger to that point not to appear in the episode. By the way, the episode is awesome and has some great callbacks to the original series. If you are a fan of MMPR, you owe it to yourself to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsD1wsAwuPE
