In 1997, Family Matters was one of the biggest sitcoms on television, and Steve Urkel was a household name. Although the series started out as a family show about the Winslows, Steve Urkel quickly became the star of the show. The later seasons revolved largely around him and his science fiction-like inventions including teleportation devices and the transformation chamber. Now, you may be wondering why I am talking about Family Matters and Steve Urkel in a Power Rangers Top Ten List. Simple: in the Season 8 episode Karate Kids, Steve fights Tommy. You read that right. Steve Urkel fights Tommy "Green Ranger" Oliver! Sort of. Jason David Frank guest starred as a gangbanger. The gang, known as The Piranhas, have taken over the local playground and it is up to Steve, Richie and 3J to take back the playground. But how do a nerd and two twelve-year-olds take down a gang led by Tommy? Well, they use the above mentioned transformation chamber to become Bruce Lee and proceed to kick the snot out of the gang. I remember seeing the episode live when it aired and totally freaking out. Also, Jason David Frank's character name is Skull.
