Preacher Season 3: 3 Ups & 1 Down From 'Les Enfants Du Sang'
2. Cassidy's Conflict
Cassidy has proven time and again that he is Preacher's comedy MVP, but the ancient vampire showed us a different side in Les Enfants du Sang. He waited out in a crack house, on his own, feeling sorry for himself - with good reason. Two episodes ago, he was forced to leave Tulip and Jesse behind, and he's been upset ever since - especially considering the fact that Tulip said she didn't love him.
He delivered a great monologue to Tulip over the phone this week, telling her that in his 100 plus years on this planet, he's had many friends, and that he'll easily be able to replace her and Cassidy. His internal conflict was highlighted beautifully here, and his emotions juxtaposed his scary vampire exterior. Not only is Cassidy proving to be the funniest character on Preacher, he's also the deepest.
