3. Eugene & The Saint

The Saint of Killers is still Preacher's best antagonist. The hat-wearing deadman made a shocking return to the show several episodes ago, when we caught up with him in Hell. While there, he made a deal with the Devil (quite literally), agreeing to help Satan bring Eugene and Hitler back to hell. He made good on that promise in Les Enfants du Sang.

Eugene Root made his long-awaited return in this episode too, and his first stop was his hometown of Annville. However, Eugene had no idea that Annville - and all of its residents - is no more after the shocking explosion. The young man headed to the nearby orphanage, where he was adopted by... The Saint of Killers. In a humorous scene, Eugene and The Saint stared each other out, before the cowboy proceeded to show Eugene the way back to hell. These two are the polar opposite of one another, and their journey back to the fires of hell will likely give us plenty of comedy.
