Preacher Season 3 Finale: 3 Ups & 1 Down From 'The Light Above'

1. The End Of The Angelville Arc

There was plenty to love about the Angelville arc. For one, it was the central focus of Season 3, and it gave us a stunningly bleak location to fawn over, as well as a phenomenal antagonist in Marie L'Angelle. But even with the reduced episode count working in its favour, the storyline still felt like it was running on empty throughout the season.

This was largely down to the plot contrivances - such as Jesse's falling out with Herr Starr, which was clearly only done so that the preacher wouldn't be able to take on L'Angelle - and unbelievable subplots. While it did manage to regain our attention over the last few episodes of the season, it's a great feeling knowing that, should the show return for another outing, the Angellville stuff is well and truly dead in the water.
