24. Two Swords (Season 4, Episode 1)
Typically, season openers for Game of Thrones are fairly tame, as they set the scene for the season to come, but Two Swords had a lot of scenes to set in the aftermath of the Red Wedding. A lot happens in Kings Landing, including the arrival of Oberyn Martell, the first meeting between Cersei and Jaime Lannister since Jaimes capture in Season 1, and Tyrion and Shae getting found out by one of Sansas handmaidens. Elsewhere, Jon avoids being executed by the Nights Watch (some good THAT did him), and Dany begins to lose control of her dragons. But the real highlight of Two Swords is the ending, where Arya reclaims Needle from Polliver, and stabs him through the throat the same way he did to Lommy in What is Dead May Never Die.
