7. The Lion and The Rose (Season 4, Episode 2)

For three full seasons, King Joffrey has ordered the death of main characters, tortured animals (and people), and generally been a rotten, spoiled little snot (and that€™s putting it nicely). And though he didn€™t get the brutal beheading from the Starks that he rightfully deserved, his ultimate demise at his own wedding was truly horrifying, as was Cersei€™s reaction as her first son was literally dying in her arms. The tension leading up to Joffrey€™s poisoning was shot beautifully by director Alex Graves. However, what truly goes unnoticed before the main event was how seamlessly all the characters weaved and bobbed through the reception to get some verbal jabs in. There were conversations between Cersei and Brienne, Olenna and Tywin, Jaime and Loras, Cersei and Pycelle, and finally Tywin, Cersei and Oberyn.
