Ranking Each Arrowverse Crossover From Worst To Best

7. Flash Vs Arrow

Arrowverse Crisis on Earth X
The CW

The Arrowverse's inaugural hero team-up was a delightful but relatively low-key event and played on the hero vs hero concept to predictable but entertaining results. It introduces comic book characters such as Captain Boomerang and Roy Bivolo and gives viewers the Arrowverse's first hero vs hero showdown.

The crossover's main hook is the dynamic between the Flash and the Green Arrow as well as their respective teams, cities, and even the nature of the villains they come across. Barry does not have it in him to fight Starling City's more violent criminal element and Oliver is out of his depth with Central City's metahuman threats and uncooperative police department.

In addition to this, Barry's relatively sunny disposition is well contrasted to Oliver's more brooding nature.

The fight between the two heroes is entertaining (albeit on the cliched mind-control trope) and highlights how evenly matched they are due to Barry's powers and Oliver's combat experience. Once the dust clears, the ensuing team-up is just as fun to watch.

This crossover also kicks off the Arrowverse's best running gag with John Diggle's (often hilarious) exasperated reaction to the more otherworldly elements of the world he lives in.
