Ranking Each Arrowverse Crossover From Worst To Best

8. Heroes Join Forces

Arrowverse Crisis on Earth X
The CW

The Arrowverse's sophomore crossover saw the introduction of classic DC heroes Hawkman and Hawkgirl as well as their eternal nemesis Vandal Savage. Sadly, it didn't rise up to the lofty heights of more memorable crossovers due to the rather uncompelling new players and its poorly handled setup for the then-upcoming Legends of Tomorrow series.

The crossover was further bogged down by Star City melodrama resulting from Oliver's desire to reach out to his son with ex-girlfriend Samantha Clayton. Although future seasons handle this relationship fairly well, the father-son dynamic does not get off to a winning start as it also set up a contrived conflict between Oliver and Felicity that drags the rest of the season.

Despite the crossover's failings, it did get some things right. Savage may not be compelling, but he is the perfect physical foil for the heroes with his Staff of Horus yielding incredibly destructive results. It also cements the friendship between Barry and Oliver as one of the cornerstones of the Arrowverse.
