Ranking Every DC Animated TV Series From Worst To Best

16. Superman (1988)

This show may - like many of its contemporaries - pale in comparison to some of DC's more modern animated series, but it's actually quite a special one. Marv Wolfman, one of the most influential writers in DC's history, was a major creative influence, and the intro even featured the rousing inflections of John Williams' seminal orchestral score for the Richard Donner films.

It was very much an action-oriented series, but one that no less provided plenty of brilliant visuals to supplement its staler moments. At one season long it's one of the shortest-lived shows that DC have produced, but one that's also easy to appreciate on a somewhat basic level.

Don't know what's going on with that ape though, it must be said.
