Ranking Every Episode From Love, Death And Robots
1. Three Robots
There are several elements that make Three Robots the best short in the series. After the destruction of humanity, three robot friends go on vacations to ruined cities to see the sights of what was left behind. What follows is an incredibly witty adventure that is hilarious and smart.
Each robot is written distinctively and designed uniquely. The banter between the three of them is strong enough that they could easily carry a feature film. Watching them try to ascertain what the use of a basketball is or trying to understand if a cat purring is leading up to it exploding are all highly entertaining moments that speaks to the quality of both the voice work and the writing.
The animation is also great, although not intended to be as realistic as something like Beyond the Aquila Rift, the visuals are still high quality and look great. Three Robots feels like all the best qualities of the series without any of the shortcomings.
