Ranking Every MCU TV Show From Worst To Best
1. Daredevil
One of Marvel's most beloved comic characters, Matt Murdock had seemed permanently tainted by the Ben Affleck-led 2003 Daredevil film. The decision to launch Disney and Netflix's ambitious five series deal with him therefore created doubts, but these were instantly dispelled the moment that Daredevil's first season dropped in 2015. Hooking viewers immediately with its slow burn storytelling, it was almost impossible not to watch all thirteen episodes in one go.
Netflix releases so many original series now that it is hard to keep up, but upon Daredevil's release they had just five dramas under their belt, only two of which (House Of Cards and Orange Is The New Black) had been well received. The solid reception it garnered helped to cement the streaming platform as a serious player in the TV world.
The first season was greatly bolstered by Vincent D'Onofrio's excellent take on Wilson Fisk, before the second stuttered somewhat after the introduction of The Punisher, veering into ridiculousness at times as the villainous Hand were explored further. The recent third was a gripping return to form, however, bringing the focus back to Fisk as he uses Bullseye to discredit the man that took him down and manipulate his way back to his position as New York’s ‘Kingpin’.
Daredevil stands head and shoulders above its counterparts and the character still has a rich history and a plethora of as-yet unintroduced characters that could keep it going for some time yet. Netflix would be foolish to pull the plug.
