Ranking Every Season Of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia From Worst To Best
1. Season 5
This is it, the absolute perfect season of It's Always Sunny. Not a single of the 12 episodes is a let down, all delivering nonstop laughs and showcasing every member of the gang at their absolute best. From season premiere to season finale, Season 5 delivers hit after hit.
"Paddy's Pub: Home of the Original Kitten Mittens" is one of the most memorable episodes of It's Always Sunny. Charlie tries to make a quieter cat, Frank tries to market an egg and Dennis and Mac create dick towels. It's an episode that showcases perfectly where the mind is of each character.
"The Gang Wrestles for the Troops," "The World Series Defense" and "The Gang Reignites the Rivalry" are also highlights of the season. With the latter perfectly showcasing how awful the gang is to Dee, purposefully poisoning her to "win" a game of flipcup, and is an early look into the rage filled outbursts Dennis has that never fail to entertain.
The most infamous episode of the season is "The D.E.N.N.I.S. System," which is the best look we get into Dennis' absolutely sociopathic ways. Point being his creating of a stalker to make a woman feel vulnerable and ultimately open herself up to him. It's not only Dennis to showcase his methods however, as Mac and Frank also show their "seductive" ways. "The D.E.N.N.I.S. System" is the perfect look into the true depravity of the gang.
With its rightful spot at the top, Season 5 holds its place in fan's hearts as the best grouping of Sunny episodes to air. It's the gang at their best, getting into the messiest schemes, and showing just how awful they are in the process.
