This finale sees Lisa giving herself a make-over both in style and personality during an attempt to make new friends during her summer vacation. The family winds up staying at Flander's summer house, and Bart expects to be the toast of the town, as usual. However, when Lisa, with a completely new style and looking much older, becomes popular, Bart is irate and soon looking for revenge.

Lisa, meanwhile, is thrilled with her new friends until Bart outs her as the nerd she is at heart.

What makes this episode great?

The fact that those new friends accept Lisa for who she really is, and give her one of the most touching (though impractical) going away presents imaginable at the end of the episode.
