Wholesome Ted was the perfect partner for Alexis who taught her to appreciate the little things in life. A veterinarian within Schitt's Creek, Ted had nothing but positive energy and lacked a level of toxicity that Alexis usually goes for.

While struggling with her attachment to materialism, Ted helped Alexis connect to things that are more important and together, the two of them grew and matured as a really endearing couple.

As they pushed themselves to be better people they also supported each other's goals and aspirations. Sadly, this meant that once Ted was offered his dream job in the Galápagos Islands, Alexis encouraged Ted to take it which would eventually lead to their breakup.

In one of the most touching scenes of the entire show, Alexis and Ted meet for one final goodbye dinner, knowing full well that their time together is at an end. Their farewell is amicable and sweet and is incredibly appropriate for how far they both had come on the show.
