Ranking The Main Characters Of Schitt's Creek From Worst To Best
6. Patrick Brewer
Patrick was a relatively late addition to the show, debuting towards the tale end of the third season. His subsequent romance with David felt natural and genuine and has become one of the most well regarded and best written aspects of the whole show.
Through Patrick, Schitt's Creek explores someone's realisation of their true sexuality the way it ideally should be, without shame or judgement. Patrick came out to supportive parents and was always encouraged with positivity to be what he wants to be. Schitt's Creek is, of course, a comedy first and foremost and Patrick is no exception to that. Whether it be his irrational fear of Ronnie or the way he handles David's drama, Patrick has some great laugh out loud moments.
That being said, his significant milestones with David are the most tender on the show and treated with the most seriousness. This allows for their emotional bond to be thoroughly explored and the audience connection to them is undeniable. His presence enhances the later seasons and was the smartest addition to the cast the show could do.
