Rick And Morty: 10 Most Dangerous Villains

7. Phoenixperson

Speaking of Tammy...

With Birdperson being Rick Sanchez's best (and one of his only) friends, it should come as no surprise that Phoenixperson represents one of the show's most dangerous villains.

Now, let's be clear: Rick and Morty did not explore this theme as deeply as they could have. Which is quite a shame. But Rick was still forced to contend with an evil, cybernetic version of his best friend. One absolutely outraged when he learns that Rick has killed his beloved Tammy (note that, even as Birdperson, even known she betrayed him, he still loves Tammy).

Their fight, nearly to the death, saw Rick come dangerously close to being defeated, and is arguably one of the toughest fights Rick has had on the show. In fact, it was Jerry, using Tammy's corpse as a dummy Weekend at Bernie's style, that managed to save the day - distracting Phoenixperson long enough for Rick to shut him down.

Rick clearly thought enough of their friendship to stash Phoenixperson away in his garage, resurrecting Birdperson in season five. The nature of their friendship is more deeply explored in "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort" where Rick's selfish nature is on full display. It's a shame we didn't get an extra episode with Phoenixperson however.
