5. Did Awful Things To Get With Jessica
Morty has already done some terrible things in the name of love, but when he Cronenberged the world, it was partly on Rick's shoulders as well. However, in this instance, everything Morty did was of his own will, and it got to a point where he was more of a villain than a hero.
The episode in question is season four's "Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat", where Morty gets his hands on a Death Crystal, which shows him how he will die depending on his decisions. He discovers that if he follows a specific direction, he will get to die in the arms of his beloved Jessica at a ripe old age, so naturally, he does this.
But, things aren't so simple as he ends up turning into some form of monster who kills police, puts his family in danger and even poses a threat to the entire world. None of this is an accident for him, though, as he's simply following the path that leads to Jessica.
He goes from loveable goof to "unstoppable science-fiction boy" in the short span of an episode and doesn't even get Jessica in the end.
