7. Cloning Machine
Rick's cloning machine first came into light after Beth killed Tommy in Froopyland. In order to save his innocent father from being executed for killing him, Rick and Beth created an exact clone of him from his finger. The entire process only took three hours.
This wasn't just a clone in Tommy's image however. It was a perfect instance of him, exactly the same in every way. The clone not only looked exactly like Tommy, it had all of his thoughts, feelings, and memories, and didn't even know that it was a clone. Rick also did the same thing for Beth.
When Rick offered Beth the chance to replace herself with a clone, so that she could explore space without her family suffering, she let her father choose whether he wanted her or not. Rick produced a clone, and switched them around so that even he didn't know who he sent out into space, and who was being the mother to his grandkids.
This is how precise the science of the cloning machine was. Beth's kids, husband, and father didn't know which was the clone, and neither did either of the Beths themselves. He is a terrible father, but you have to admit, he is an incredible scientist.
