Rick & Morty: 10 Most Insane Gadgets
5. Dream Inceptor
From the very beginning, Rick and Morty has dabbled with more than a few parody episodes. There was 'Anatomy Park', 'Auto Erotic Assimilation', and 'Look Who's Purging Now', but in the second ever episode, the show tackled Lawnmower Man, Friday the 13th, and Inception.
The key to the latter part of the episode was Rick's Dream Inceptor. He and Morty broke into Mr. Goldenfold's home, sent him to sleep, and entered his dream with the sole purpose of getting Morty better grades at school. That way, he would have more time to go on adventures and help Rick with his science.
This was technology that only existed in a bizarre sci-fi movie that Rick didn't respect, and so he made a device just so that he could spend time doing other things. In the time it took him to make it, he could have helped Morty get good grades the old fashioned way, but instead he chose to show off how smart he was.
After going through several layers of dreams and escaping from Scary Terry, the plan worked, but surely the smartest man in the world could have come up with a better use for such an amazing device?
