Riverdale: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best

Arguably the break-out character of the show thanks to Cole Sprouse's committed performance and his signature hat, Jughead Jones is not just Archie's best friend, keeping things in order when they seem destined to go out of control, but he's also the show's narrator, summing up the confusing events surrounding the town and giving the series a voice of reason behind the madness.

Every show needs a sarcastic sidekick, and Jughead fills that role without fault thanks to his whip-smart remarks. But as the show has gone on, it has become clear that he is not merely a sidekick, in place to liven up proceedings with a splash of humour, but a fully-formed and deeply complex protagonist in his own right.

There are some moments we could have done without ("I'm a weirdo" comes to mind), and his sudden commitment to the Serpents felt far too rushed in places, but overall Jughead really is one of the best Riverdale's got, and Archie would be long gone without him.
