Riverdale: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best
2. Fred Andrews
Every character on this list are very strange, very flawed people. But not Fred, the loving and morally sound father of Archie.
Fred was a breath of fresh air to the insanity of Riverdale's most insane moments. He was not crazy, manipulative or vindictive. He didn't hold grudges, he stayed out of trouble, and he remains the only truly good parent to ever grace the show. He may not have been part of the main plotlines of the show's first three seasons, but he was the true heart of the series.
Riverdale is a show bursting with larger-than-life personalities, but Fred is not up there with them. He's the most grounded and realistic of them all.
Luke Perry tragically passed away before season four, and so Fred was written out of the show with perhaps its best-ever episode. Even in his absence, he was still making the show a better place. Perry brought his real-life likability to the role, and it's safe to say the show will never be quite the same without him.
