Riverdale: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best
12. Josie McCoy
Josie McCoy was, for the show's first three seasons, one of Riverdale's leads. Which, looking back, is rather surprising given the fact that she did literally nothing to move the plot or develop beyond singer and tough-as-nails high schooler.
Acting as the lead singer of Josie and the Pussycats, Josie's role on the show was relegated to that of background player, popping up on screen when the narrative needed her to but not giving her anything to do worth remembering.
She was, however uninvolved her antics were to the show's main plot, actually quite likable, proving to be a complex young woman who was bursting with potential. The writers just never took the time to let her go and be a part of the bigger story, and all of her possibilities were left squandered by the time her stay as a series regular was up. What a waste.
