2. Hiram Lodge... Is Still Hiram Lodge

Veronica Lodge's attempts to free herself from her father's grip came with the possibility of getting dragged down with him. While a deal with FBI granted her immunity, that didn't protect her from dangerous accusations from the tabloids claiming the she was in on it all along. And who leaked this information to the tabloids, you ask? Well, it was only bloody Hiram Lodge wasn't it?

The character appeared only briefly as he gleefully confirmed Veronica's suspicions, uttered some self-indulgent garbage about how you don't cross him (yes, yes we've heard it all before, dear) and then dramatically walked off because why the hell not, right?

This shtick is getting old, now. No, actually scratch that - it got old before the end of Season 2... and we're still here. Every time the gang overcomes him, there is a moment of brief remorse, recollection, redemption and/or yes, even promise... and then we're back to the same old one-dimensional caricature. Sadly, it looks like we're set for more of the same this season. Yay.

But he's not the only repetitive thing returning this year...
