Schitt’s Creek: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

4. Season 4

Schitt's Creek
CBC

Jocelyn got knocked up, but not before a hilarious mix-up in which everyone thought Alexis was the pregnant one. Ted and Alexis got back together, but not before an awkward lunch with Ted's older girlfriend. David and Patrick pursued a successful relationship, but not without Patrick's ex-fiancée dropping in for a surprise visit. And Johnny and Roland became co-workers at the motel, which was as about as trouble-free as you might expect. Schitt's Creek got funnier, soapier and more interesting as the years went on, which is quite the accomplishment for a show that was great from the beginning.

By season 4, the cast of Schitt's Creek is the best it's ever been, with Ted, Patrick and even Twyla becoming full-fledged core characters, and every Rose family member leading an important story, rather than just, you know, hanging about the motel. The only reason it's a mid-tier season is because it came right after one of the show's most memorable years, and because it was building up to bigger, better things. Also, David and Patrick's brief break-up was uncalled for.

Highlights: Patrick's open mic debut, which was simply the best; the Internet declaring Moira dead; Alexis reuniting with that obnoxious friend from her old life; and Johnny becoming a Jazzaguy.
