Schitt’s Creek: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

3. Season 6

Schitt's Creek
CBC

Like any TV family, the Roses go through a series of highs and lows. Though the lows far outweight the highs, usually because the characters' egos get in the way of them making better decisions for themselves. So, as the final season reaches a head and every member of the Rose family sees a dream of theirs come true, it feels very earned - the culmination of many years of character development.

In its last year, Schitt's Creek perfected the balance between grounded stories and over-the-top theatrics. Scenarios as simple as Alexis binge-watching old episodes of Moira's TV show or Johnny trying to have 'the talk' with his new son-in-law made for surprisingly entertaining or emotional moments. But the most iconic bits were the most ridiculous ones, such as Moira's movie trailer, Moira's premiere party, Moira's tourism video... okay, anything Moira did.

The one disappointment? The lack of Ted. We are all for Alexis ending the show as a strong, independent woman set on her goals, but it would have been nice to get some semblance of hope for a future with her and Ted reuniting. One can dream.

Highlights: A drugged-up Patrick wanting to have a baby; Roland standing up for Johnny after their pitch; Moira bitch-slapping Victor Garber - sorry, 'Clifton Sparks'; and Alexis in a wedding dress at David and Patrick's wedding.
