Scrubs: 10 Worst Things JD Has Ever Done
8. He Thought He Was Better Than Carla
Particularly at the beginning of the series, JD seemed to be quite egotistical, and he thought himself better than a lot of people. He looked down on Turk for being immature, he thought he was smarter than Elliott, and he thought he was better than Carla because he was a doctor and she was a nurse.
It was always the same when new interns started at Sacred Heart. At first they needed help from the nursing staff, but before long the dynamic shifted, and suddenly they knew more, and most went on to treat the nurses like little more than personal assistants.
JD and Carla were slightly different, as they formed a real bond as friends rather than just colleagues. She didn't expect to have the same thing from him, but after she stood up to Dr. Cox for him, he snapped and completely degraded her in front of everyone. He not so politely reminded her that he was the doctor, and by extension was essentially her boss.
Their argument escalated to Carla telling him to admit that he thought he was better than her. If it wasn't for Carla and her guidance, JD would never have found his footing as a doctor, and this is how he initially repaid her. Not exactly how one friend should treat another.
