After the Skrulls penetrated society, Deadpool surrendered himself and begged to join their ranks. Although Skrulls are instinctively paranoid, they accepted 'Pool's request, reasoning his regenerative powers would prove advantageous. After cloning samples of the Merc with the Mouth's DNA, the extra-terrestrials created Super-Skrulls that could heal from almost any wound.

Little did the Skrull geneticist realise that the Super-Skrulls also absorbed Deadpool's mental instability. When the group were ordered to attack, they blew each others' heads off!

When the geneticist realised he had been duped, he ordered the remaining Super-Skrulls to murder Deadpool. As the scientist looked at the squad, he noticed all their bodies had become contorted and swollen. Deadpool explained that his healing factor constantly kills his cancer cells while new cancer cells form. Because the Super-Skrulls didn't absorb his cancer, their bodies were over-healing, producing excessive cells until their bodies exploded.

Deadpool then revealed that this was all part of his plan to wipe out a large chunk of the Skrulls and steal their data so it could be used against them. Because Deadpool is a lunatic, it's easy to forget how smart he can be sometimes.
