Seinfeld: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

7. Season 8

Seinfeld shirtless
NBC

The first season where Larry David wasn't involved with the show. It really does show, the writing quality dipped from the level it had been at and the situations that were once so good at continuing to build in their overt silly nature were now just not as gripping anymore.

It sounds strange but you can feel David's loss on the screen, in spite of the fact that his most prominent appearance on the show was as the voice of Yankee's owner Geroge Steinbrenner.

The season continues after the sudden death of Geroge's fianceƩ, Susan, and has some real highlights to it. Including the episodes, 'The Money', in which Jerry's parents sell their Cadillac to a neighbour and Jerry buys it back for them; and 'The Nap' where George builds a place to nap underneath his desk so that nobody can see him at work when he does it.

Overall, for almost any other sitcom this season would have been considered a major piece in an almost perfect show, but for Seinfeld, it marked the beginning of the end.
