Seinfeld Or Friends Quiz: Who Said It - Newman Or Eddie ?
Was it the crazy roommate or the crazy neighbour?
“Hannibal Lecter? Better roommate than you!”
Perfectly described by his temporary roommate Chandler Bing, Eddie Menuek appeared in three episodes of the legendary Friends. However, despite his short cameo role, Adam Goldberg made his character and the scenes involving the psycho fish owner memorable. He made Chandler lose his chickens and go crazy, Joey freaked out and got jealous, and Eddie even named his fish after his buddy, Chan-Chan.
A similar sitcom that goes further back than Friends, the beloved Seinfeld has a pretty close character to Edddie Menuek. The mailman. The nemesis of Jerry Seinfeld. The disgrace to the uniform of post office. An enigma, a mystery wrapped in a riddle, perfectly described by Elaine Benes. Mr Newman.
These two pure evils brought to their respective TV shows an intrigue and tension. Fortunately, for Chandler the nightmare ended in the episode “The One Where Eddie Won't Go” where his pal did actually leave; whereas, Newman lived long and prospered in the same building with Jerry, much to Seinfeld's annoyance. The fans of the show know that under the simple exchange of "Hello, Jerry", "Hello, Newman" is hidden Jerry’s mistrust and Newman’s false joy.
Well, let’s see if you can handle this Newman and Eddie quotes quiz without hearing their cynical voices.
