Sense8 Finale: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Amor Vincit Omnia'

1. A Perfect Ending

Despite the sheer scale of storylines and mythology that went into making Sense8, the two and a half hour finale serves as the perfect ending to the show. We get to see the culmination of the Whispers storyline, as the evil antagonist - and his zombie program - is put to rest once and for all. Also, after shooting Kala, watching Lila get her just desserts was incredibly satisfying. And Wolfgang saving the day with the rocket-launcher (again) was pure perfection.

It's worth pointing out that, before the credits roll, there's a caption that says the final episode is "for the fans", and this absolutely comes across during the episode. Having said that, while there was clearly a certain degree of fan service throughout, it never overshadowed the great storylines. Amor Vincit Omnia might not be the most revered series finale of all time, but it accomplishes what it set out to do, and that's all that matters.

For once in television, everybody gets their happy ending, and considering the amount of struggling our protagonists endured over the past two seasons, this is the perfect way - the only way - to end the show.
