Sense8 Finale: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Amor Vincit Omnia'
Downs...
2. Kala's Love Triangle Is Unresolved
There isn't an awful lot wrong with the Sense8 finale, but there is one thing that's hard to overlook and that's how the love triangle between Kala, Wolfgang and Rajan was handled. Considering the amount of screen time devoted to this storyline in earlier seasons, having Kala not make a decision felt like a bit of a cop out.
What's worse is that the fact that, technically, she did make a decision in the previous episode. She chose Wolfgang, and yet this is completely overlooked here.
Additionally, it isn't made explicitly clear whether Rajan discovers Kala's feelings for Wolfgang, and there is also no confirmation on whether he knows his wife had a mental affair with the Berlin man. The humourous stuff with Rajan and Wolfgang at the end of the episode is pretty great to be fair, but it still feels as if this storyline could've been explored in a little more depth and, ultimately, Kala should've made a choice. Not because it was necessary for the character, but because this was clearly the direction it was heading.
