10. Will Jean Keep Her Baby?
Jean visits the doctor because she thinks she’s perimenopausal, only to be told she’s likely suffering from heartbreak. While these two things turn out to the true, it’s also revealed that Jean is pregnant in the ultimate plot twist.
This isn’t something Jean wants to deal with, especially at her age, which begs the question: will she keep it? It’s possible she could if wants to get back the stability of her relationship with Jakob and raise a child with him.
However, Sex Education could visit another abortion story, which may allow Jean to bond with Maeve over some common ground. On the other hand, the series could explore miscarriages, which are very common, alongside the issues older woman experience with pregnancy.
Either way, Jean’s pregnancy definitely adds a lot more drama to her life. Plus, we’re yet to see Otis’ reaction, which will surely be big. If Jean and Jakob decide to get married, Otis will have two step-sisters: the new baby and Ola, and Otis was already teased for dating the daughter of his mother’s boyfriend.
