She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode Six Review - 5 Ups & 3 Downs

1. Up - Just Jen

She Hulk Just Jen
Marvel Studios

This episode was very aptly titled. For what is probably the first time since her accident, Jen actually wanted to be She-Hulk. She wanted to go to a wedding and for once parade that she was doing good instead of just having unwanted sympathy thrown at her.

She ultimately had to stay as Jen for the wedding, and the episode was stronger for it. She was the highlight of the show, and it wasn’t just her drunken antics, there was an actual peek into her as a person rather than just a Hulk.

Just because Jen didn't have the same fight with her Other Guy as Bruce did, it doesn't mean her transition into being a Hulk has been easy. It took a long time for her to become comfortable with being a Hulk, with being called She-Hulk, and the one time she decides to truly embrace it, she is told she can't.

While She-Hulk has been showered with love and adoration by most, with the exception of the ridiculous yet depressingly realistic trolling, Jen has been battered, bruised, and walked all over all season. Actually seeing this effects Jen was a real insight into her as a character.
