She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode Two Review - 7 Ups And 4 Downs

3. Up - Jen's Family Life

There was kind of a build up to the moment Jen returned to her parents’ home to have a family dinner. Bruce referenced Ched as a genius in the pilot (we see now just how sarcastic he was being), and Jen joked about not being an adult orphan.

It’s true that the majority of MCU heroes have either seen one or both of their parents die, have had to fight them in some shape of form, or they have simply never ever been mentioned. Jennifer Walters is one of the few who can say that her parents are both alive and good.

It’s immediately plain as to why she was dreading such an evening however, as she was bombarded with criticisms, not exactly complementary comparisons, and tips on how she could generally be better. It was a tough night, but her father saved it.

Everyone loves a cute old man, and everyone loves a good dad. Just like Yusuf checked both boxes several months ago in Ms. Marvel, so too now does Morris Walters. Chances are he won’t have a huge role to play in the remainder of the series, but you can bet every scene that he features in he will shine.
