A stag do hosted by Sherlock Holmes was a notion harder to swallow than Derren Brown being involved with Sherlock's death, but that's what we were treated to in the mid-series party 'The Sign of Three.' Going for a pub crawl covering every street where they've found a corpse (one presumes that's a lot), Sherlock and John quickly get... Baskervilled. Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock intoxicated in any way is funny (we got a glimpse of it before when he was drugged in 'A Scandal in Belgravia') but the situation is taken further when the pair are called out on a case! The drunken deductions (personal favourites include 'deaded' and 'sleeeeep') are a highlight as is Sherlock's flailing 'cluing for looks.' By inverting such iconic elements of the show this scene could almost be a parody from a sketch show yet it actually is the finest example of the surprisingly numerous comic moments that this series produced.
