Sherlock: 10 Most Hated Episodes

9. The Hounds Of Baskerville

Sherlock The Final Problem
BBC

The Hounds of Baskerville is by no means terrible, but unfortunately, it doesn't make the cut for the top three most loved episodes. The thing about this outing is how different it feels from all the other Sherlock small screen offerings, especially when it comes to Season Two. The Hounds of Baskerville feels darker and even leaning more towards fantasy, in a sense.

Certainly, that makes it a unique Sherlock mystery and one that many fans love, but it's also understandable why some Sherlock fans just aren't wild about this one. It feels very much like a standalone and doesn't contribute much to the overall plot or character arcs of the series, and while that isn't a bad thing in it itself, it doesn't help when being compared to other Sherlock episodes.

All that said, The Hounds of Baskerville really is a great time. It's smart and thrilling, the kind of hour and a half that puts you at the edge of your seat, wondering how it'll end. It's plain fun and an episode that many Sherlock fans appreciate, even if not many would call it their favorite.
