Sherlock: 10 Worst Things Sherlock Holmes Ever Did
4. Using John As An Experiment
The relationship between Sherlock and Watson was the emotional core of the show. Seeing John become a part of Sherlock's world and changing him for the better was beautiful to see and took both characters in a fascinating direction. But, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for this pairing.
Aside from the constant tension and bickering between them, Sherlock often put Watson at extreme risk for "the greater good". The worst instance of this had to be what he did during the episode "The Hounds of Baskerville".
This episode was essentially Sherlock's soiree into horror, as it was full of tense, scary scenes. One of the most frightening had to be when John was locked in the laboratory with the titular hound. However, the reveal of what actually happened here was scary in a different way.
It turns out that the hound was a mere hallucination brought about by a drug. Sherlock revealed to John at the end of the episode that he had drugged him, caused him to hallucinate the beast and set up the entire encounter himself as an experiment.
Getting information is always important, but to drug and torture your supposed friend, that's just abhorrent.
