Sherlock Lives: 10 Theories We Answer After The Empty Hearse

8. "I Owe You"

Still a bit confusing, there was plenty of mention over the phrase "I owe you". Did it have a hidden meaning? Apparently not. Despite the phrase appearing here, there and everywhere, it appears that it was just Moriarty teasing Sherlock about how he was going to kill him. Nothing to deduce from it. He really did owe Sherlock a fall, and it wasn't a code that Sherlock was meant to decipher. What is interesting though - and this is another one that they probably won't address onscreen - is the similarity between Sherlock and Jim. Yes, we know that Sherlock said "I am you", and we know that they're intended as two sides of the same coin, but when you look deeper, you'll see some scary similarities; from the smiley face on Sherlock's wall to the one Moriarty paints on the Crown Jewels' glass case, and even in the lines of dialogue that they share. When this series is over, watch the first two again. What do you spot?
