18. Stella Hopkins

The second detective is credited as DI Hopkins, as played by Eleanor Matsuura. Later on, when she appears in the flesh, Lestrade calls her "Stella."

It is pretty clear from this that Hopkins is a gender-swapped take on Stanley Hopkins, a recurring character from the canon. Inspector Hopkins was a young detective who Holmes took under his wing as he believed him smarter than any other Scotland Yarder.

While Modern Sherlock doesn't seem to respect this Hopkins quite as much, she does say she has met up with him to discuss a case several times.
